In the Community

We are honored each year to partner with the Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival on Flag Day, June 14th to honor our military and thank them for their service and sacrifice while retiring American flags. The ceremony begins with the singing of the National Anthem and concludes with a moment of silence and the playing of Taps. Names of Iowa veterans who we have lost in the previous year have their names read as flags are honorably placed on the fire to be retired.
