Good morning and Happy Father's Day! This morning Pastor Mark Hixson has a special message for fathers.
While today's message is not technically part of our previous series, "The Rock, the Road, and the Rabbi," it does fit right in. This morning Pastor Terry Van Wyk will be teaching about Pentecost, what it is, why it is important, and how we can "Be Empowered and Transformed" by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

Join us this morning at 10 am for a Resurrection Worship Service. More commonly referred to as Easter, Resurrection Sunday is a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, considered the most pivotal event in our faith as Christians. It signifies the defeat of death, the promise of eternal life, and the foundation of Christian hope. Easter is the culmination of God's plan for salvation, offering forgiveness and reconciliation with God through Jesus' sacrifice.

Tonight during our solemn Good Friday Tenebrae Service we will be recalling the somber events of Jesus' final days starting in the Garden of Gethsemane as Jesus prayed, to Judas' betrayal, Jesus before the Sanhedrin, Peter's denial, Jesus before Pilate, the soldiers mocking Jesus, and finally Jesus' death on the cross. As these events are recounted, candles are extinguished one by one until it is dark. The service will end with singing.
Today marks the beginning of Holy Week with Palm Sunday Worship at Grace Street Church. Join us at 10 am as we praise the King, Jesus Christ. In this mornings message our pastors, Mark Hixson and Terry Van Wyk will take a look at each of the players in what happens during Passion Week.
